Tours
MOCA’s guided tours provide visitors with an interactive and engaging museum experience. Museum educators and trained docents give tours to adults and students of all ages. Visitors can come time after time and always learn and see something new in both our permanent collection galleries and featured exhibition spaces. Tours are specially tailored to the individual group in order to provide the most meaningful experience for all visitors. Tour rates apply to groups larger than 10. MOCA can accommodate up to 60 people per tour time. For more information please review. All Tours, including self guided groups, require a tour reservation.
“How do I know that MOCA works for my students? They never stopped talking about what they saw and did. Even my most verbally challenged students were able to express their joy and satisfaction with this experience. As a teacher, when I accompany my students on a field trip I pray that it is something that they really buy into and want to have more of. The lights in their eyes and their questions about how things were made or constructed was evidence.”

Adult Tours
Contemporary art elicits a broad range of responses; some people are inspired and deeply moved, while others feel confused and bewildered. MOCA Jacksonville can provide Docent outreach to your group or organization presenting an overview of the collection and open discussion about contemporary art in its historical context. Adult tours accommodate the interests and needs of your group and consist of a one-hour overview of permanent and featured exhibitions as well as time for individual exploration. Groups have the option to participate in a studio activity where they will create a work of art in response to their tour. MOCA is handicapped accessible with free wheelchairs available on request.
Adult tours are $7 per person with a minimum of 10 participants.
